I love working with matter. Touching products firsthand, getting my hands dirty, creating from scratch, and letting imagination take over are the true driving forces behind my work at BGroup Studio. Designing and managing interior renovations doesn’t just mean distributing spaces functionally; it means infusing them with a soul.
The Experiment: From Scrap to a Unique Design Piece
To explain what I mean, I want to share a small creative project born by chance, right from my worktable.
I found myself looking at a clear polypropylene lampshade. A scrap object, a leftover from the warehouse with no particular identity. Next to it, two open and partially used tins of enamel paint: a deep blue and a vibrant yellow.
Instead of throwing everything in the bin, I decided to experiment with a form of creative upcycling applied to design.
- The Action: No brushes, no precise scheme. I simply poured the colors directly onto the clear surface of the lampshade.
- The Reaction: I let gravity, the density of the enamel, and chance do the rest, allowing the blue and yellow to blend and create unrepeatable textured veins.
- The Result: Once dried and illuminated by light, that mute piece of plastic transformed into a unique lamp, capable of projecting warm and vibrant atmospheres.
The Philosophy: Color and Originality in Modern Homes
This simple experiment perfectly encapsulates my vision of how the spaces we live in should be, and the method I apply in my projects.
Modern homes cannot survive on clean and linear shapes alone. They desperately need color, texture, and touches of extreme originality.
A sterile environment, however elegant, risks feeling cold. It’s the unexpected detail, the handcrafted piece, the textural contrast, or the flash of color that turns a simple room into a true refuge.
As a Space Specialist, my goal is exactly this: the enhancement of internal spaces through tailor-made solutions that make every square meter unique and precious. Inserting disruptive elements that tell a story and stimulate the senses is fundamental to achieving that living well-being that I call Living better inside.
Don’t be afraid to dare with a bold color on a wall, to insert an object with a bold design, or to mix different textures. It is in those choices that the true personality of a home resides.
