An extra room with a view of old Belluno

How We Transformed a Terrace into an “All-Season” Living Space

In a small apartment, every square meter counts. The challenge of this project in Belluno was not just to enclose a balcony, but to expand the living space, visually breaking down the boundaries between the interior and the view of the old city.

Bioclimatic Pergola

The Project

The goal was clear: to transform an outdoor area into a true extension of the home, usable 365 days a year. Not just a simple veranda, but a new lounge and dining area that connects seamlessly with the existing kitchen.

The Technical Solution

We installed a state-of-the-art bioclimatic pergola with adjustable louvers, allowing control of natural light and ventilation. To ensure comfort in every season, the structure was enclosed on three sides with sliding panoramic glass panels and technical blinds, complemented by an integrated LED lighting system and spotlights to create the right atmosphere even in the evening.

The Detail That Makes the Difference:

Total Continuity

As a Space Specialist, I know that the perception of space changes with the details. The real success of this project is the floating floor: designed to be perfectly level with the interior floor. No steps, no thresholds. Opening the French door, the kitchen and the new pergola become a single, fluid living space.

The Method

The result came from constant collaboration with the client, Francesca. Together, we defined measurements, color palettes, and finishes, overseeing every detail from design to final installation.
